The March for Life 2025 was a powerful event where Royalmont Academy students joined thousands in a bold stand for life. However, this trip extended far beyond the march itself, incorporating service, education, prayer, and leadership development.

Living the Mission: Street Missions and Eucharistic Adoration

The night before the March for Life 2025, our students joined Regnum Christi schools for street missions, engaging with the community and sharing the pro-life message in the heart of Washington, D.C. Afterward, they gathered for Eucharistic adoration, strengthening their spiritual lives and preparing their hearts for the march the next day.

Formation Through the Four Pillars

This trip wasn’t just about attending the march—it was designed to align with Royalmont Academy’s commitment to integral formation:

Intellectual Formation: Busch School of Business Visit

Students visited the Catholic University of America Busch School of Business, receiving a private tour of their entrepreneurship and business programs. This experience built upon our CEDE (Catholic Entrepreneurship & Design Experience) course, which Royalmont piloted this semester. Seeing faith-driven business principles in action helped students understand the intersection of Catholic values, innovation, and leadership.

Spiritual Formation: Saint John Paul II National Shrine

On Saturday, students visited the Saint John Paul II National Shrine, where they explored the legacy of Pope Saint John Paul II, a tireless defender of life and human dignity. The shrine’s stunning mosaics, relics, and interactive exhibits provided a deeply faith-enriching experience, reinforcing the call to be courageous witnesses for life.

Human Formation: Virtues in Action

Navigating Washington, D.C., together strengthened students’ virtues of patience, empathy, and teamwork. Traveling as a group, engaging in meaningful discussions, and balancing service with reflection helped students develop resilience and leadership skills.

Apostolic Formation: Standing for Life

From street missions to walking the National Mall, students lived out their faith in an active and meaningful way. By engaging with fellow marchers, praying together, and witnessing their beliefs, they became true apostles for life.

Recognition by a Catholic Influencer

A major highlight of the trip was being featured by Catholic influencer Willie J Rice on Instagram. His post showcased our students’ passion and dedication at the March for Life, giving their message a wider audience.

Vice President JD Vance’s Inspiring Speech

One of the most powerful moments of the event was hearing Vice President JD Vance speak on the enduring importance of the pro-life movement. In his address, he reminded attendees that:

“The March for Life is not just a single event that happens on a frigid January day. The March for Life is the work of the pro-life movement every single day from this point forward.”

These words resonated deeply with our students, emphasizing that their advocacy doesn’t stop at the march—it must be lived out daily.
