Choosing the right middle school is one of the most important decisions a parent can make. At Royalmont Academy, a faith-based middle school serving grades 5–8, we offer more than just strong academics. We nurture students with values, a sense of belonging, and a deeper purpose.
Middle school is a pivotal time. Children are discovering who they are. Therefore, they need a school that sees their potential and walks with them. At Royalmont, we meet this moment with formation rooted in our Catholic, Regnum Christi mission.
From grade 5 onward, students rotate to subject-specific teachers. This model ensures that every student is learning from someone deeply knowledgeable in their subject area. As a result, students receive high-quality instruction in math, science, literature, religion, and more.
Moreover, this approach prepares them for the structure and rigor of high school. Students become comfortable with multiple teachers and varying expectations, which builds confidence and accountability.
Middle schoolers at Royalmont don’t just learn from textbooks. They grow through formative experiences designed to enrich their minds, hearts, and character:
Maria Stein Shrine Pilgrimage: Students visit one of the largest relic collections in the U.S., deepening their faith in a tangible way.
Air Force Museum Visit: A day at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base brings aviation, science, and history to life.
Spaghetti Warehouse Dinner: Students learn the basics of fine dining while practicing manners and etiquette in a fun, social setting.
Washington, D.C. Trip: Eighth graders explore our nation’s capital, walk the National Mall, and reflect on faith and freedom.
These experiences reinforce classroom lessons. They also build friendships and create memories that last.
At a faith-based middle school, students are formed spiritually each day. They pray together, attend Mass, and go to confession regularly. This rhythm of grace grounds them in truth and helps them grow closer to Christ.
Leadership opportunities are woven throughout. Boys can serve with Fr. Jesus at Mass as sacristans or MCs. Girls participate in the Daughters of the King program, where they explore virtue, dignity, and service.
In addition, students help lead service projects, mentor younger grades, and model responsibility for their peers.
Middle school should not be something to endure. It should be a time of growth, challenge, and joy. At Royalmont Academy, students thrive in a structured, loving community that prepares them for high school—and for life.
