Empowering Students Through Spanish Class Business Project

A Spanish Class Business Project with a Mission

At Royalmont Academy, education goes beyond the classroom. We form young minds and hearts to impact the world through faith, service, and leadership. Our junior high Spanish students recently completed an exciting project that combined entrepreneurship, language immersion, and charity. This Spanish class business project hands-on experience made learning both dynamic and meaningful.

Building a Business with Purpose

Señora Anita Battaglia led students through an entrepreneurial journey. They worked in teams to develop small businesses, planning and selling entirely in Spanish. Each group created a business name, designed a logo, and researched potential products. They explored materials from Spanish-speaking countries and analyzed airfare costs, tourist attractions, and currencies.

Once their businesses launched, students sold handmade goods to their peers during recess for three days. Laughter and excitement filled the air as they put their Spanish skills into action. This experience strengthened their language abilities while teaching teamwork, problem-solving, and financial literacy.

Supporting Children in Ecuador

This project was about more than business. It was a lesson in leadership and generosity. Students donated 20% of their profits to buy Christmas candies for underprivileged children in Ecuador. The remaining 80% funded 8th-grade sweaters and meals ordered in Spanish, reinforcing both linguistic and cultural elements.

A special video showed Ecuadorian children receiving their Christmas gifts. Seeing their joy made the impact real for our students. They experienced how business can serve the greater good, turning their efforts into a true lesson in servant leadership.

A Living Example of Integral Formation

This project reflects Royalmont Academy’s mission to form strong Christian leaders. It blended business principles, cultural studies, and faith-based service. Students saw firsthand how they can succeed in business while helping others. Leadership is not just about success—it is about service. True leaders use their talents to uplift others.
