Homeschool parents pour their hearts into forming their children—academically, spiritually, and personally. But as students reach the high school years, many families start asking: What’s next? How can we continue nurturing virtue and independence while giving our teens access to advanced academics, labs, and community?
That’s where Royalmont High School in Mason, Ohio comes in. We’re a Catholic homeschool-friendly high school offering a-la-carte courses, part-time enrollment, and full-time options that let parents stay engaged while students grow in confidence and leadership.
Flexible a-la-carte options for homeschool families
Whether your student wants to join for one class or a full schedule, Royalmont provides flexibility without compromising faith or rigor. Homeschool students can:
- Take a-la-carte courses such as Chemistry labs, Latin, Theology, or Literature.
- Join select days each week to align with our hybrid schedule—longer periods on M/W/F and shorter on T/Th.
- Participate in school clubs, retreats, and service projects that build faith and friendship.
- Earn transcripted high school credit and prepare for college admissions through our accredited academic program.
Faith and formation that align with home values
Our mission mirrors the heart of Catholic homeschooling: to form the whole person—mind, heart, and soul. Through Integral Formation, students grow intellectually, spiritually, humanly, and apostolically. Daily prayer, frequent Mass, and adoration weave faith naturally into the school day.
“Having our chaplain at school Tuesday through Friday makes the sacraments readily available, and our chapel is always open.” — Noah Kiefer, Grade 11

Small classes and real community
Homeschool moms often worry about social dynamics or culture shock when teens step into a new environment. At Royalmont, classes average just 10–15 students, creating a warm, relational culture where each student is known and valued. Our students describe Royalmont as safe, joyful, and rooted in authentic friendship.
“Coming from a school where you never knew who was going to talk about you next, to experiencing the loving and authentic relationships I’ve created here has been life-changing.” — Ann Marie Davis, Grade 10
Through retreats, household groups, and service projects, homeschool and full-time students build bonds that strengthen both faith and character.
Academic support that empowers independence
Our teachers coach students to think deeply, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively—skills that serve them well in college and beyond. Homeschool families especially appreciate the blend of accountability and flexibility: structured coursework, weekly feedback, and mentorship that respects each student’s learning pace.
“Royalmont most embodies academic excellence. Formators go beyond the basic subjects by encouraging critical thinking and real-world application.” — Noah Kiefer, Grade 11
