Yesterday, we celebrated the graduation of five extraordinary young men and women—members of the Royalmont Academy Class of 2025. Though small in number, their impact was enormous. They reminded us all why choosing a small, mission-driven Catholic high school makes all the difference.
Throughout the ceremony, one theme echoed again and again in the speeches and in the heartfelt comments from parents and grandparents: Each student was deeply known and genuinely loved. In a world where so many young people feel unseen, this class was a beautiful contradiction—they weren’t just classmates; they became a family.
At Royalmont, we believe that a truly transformative education starts with relationship and intentional formation. In the words of our valedictorian, the Class of 2025 didn’t just go to school together—they became family together. Family doesn’t choos.ee each other – they are chosen to come together for the better of the whole. They encouraged one another through academic trials, artistic endeavors, personal setbacks, and spiritual formation. Whether headed to college, trade school, or directly into the workforce, each student walked across that stage not just with a diploma, but with lifelong friendships and a firm foundation in faith and virtue.
Some critics of small schools may question our size, suggesting that bigger must be better. But yesterday’s ceremony revealed the opposite: when a student is known, they thrive. There’s a scientific truth here—research shows that we can only maintain a limited number of deep relationships. A graduating class of 100 or 200 doesn’t increase that number. But a class of five, when intentionally formed, builds bonds that last.
Our seniors this year were a beautiful reflection of Royalmont’s commitment to integral formation—growing intellectually, humanly, spiritually, and apostolically. Among them were:
Future teachers,
A future pilot,
A future linesman,
A rising artist,
Future mothers and fathers,
Leaders – today.
Some will continue to college, others to apprenticeships or trade programs. But what unites them is not a single path—it’s a shared foundation. They’ve learned not only who they are, but whose they are.
During their Senior year, each grew through laughter, prayer, and even a few breathtaking cliffside moments. Each student carried their unique personality into this journey and into their senior year:
Maggie reminded us to seek beauty and wonder in all things.
Lucas showed us what it means to be fearless and bold.
Therese embodied quiet strength, humor, and depth.
Max brought levity, leadership, and loyalty.
Emma inspired us with her creativity and quiet confidence.
They’ve made our community better—and now, they carry that spirit into the world.
Royalmont isn’t the biggest school. But we offer something many larger schools can’t: a formation where every student is seen, loved, and called to greatness. Our size is our strength. We’re not trying to mass-produce graduates. We’re forming leaders—one heart at a time.
To the Class of 2025: thank you. You’ve shown us how it’s done. You’ve shown that greatness doesn’t require a crowd—it just requires commitment, character, and community.
