The Decree on Child Protection requires a strict screening process for everyone who serves our students—faculty, coaches, contractors, or volunteers. At Royalmont, we:

• Conduct annual or state-required background checks through approved fingerprinting

• Require SafeParish registration and training completion before service begins

• Verify that no one with a disqualifying history works with children

Even outside contractors—such as maintenance workers, musicians, or athletic trainers—must meet these requirements before having any contact with students.

The 2023 Decree revision strengthened operational safeguards, and we follow them every day:

• Transportation rules: Adults never transport a child alone. When possible, two adults travel in the vehicle. Written parental permission remains required.
