The Solemnity of Christ the King reminds us that Jesus is not only Lord of the universe but Lord of our daily lives. In the Regnum Christi charism, this truth stands at the very center. Regnum Christi seeks to “make present the mystery of Christ who goes out to people, reveals the love of his Heart, gathers them, forms them as apostles, sends them, and accompanies them” (SRCF 8). :
Because of this vision, the feast feels especially personal to a Regnum Christi school. Christ is not distant or abstract; rather, He meets us in classrooms, hallways, and everyday conversations. As a result, our students encounter Him as teacher, friend, and King. In addition, our families discover that His Kingship has something to say about homework, sports, conflict, and hope.
Hosting Sunday Mass on campus was a rare gift for Royalmont. Families worshiped in the same place where their children learn and grow each day, which created a powerful sense of unity. In many ways, this connection revealed that Royalmont is more than a school building. Instead, it is a place of encounter where Christ Himself leads, teaches, and reigns.
During Mass, the presence of the Legionaries of Christ, consecrated women, and RC missionaries made the church feel like a true spiritual family. Parents prayed alongside their children, which strengthened family bonds. Younger students watched older ones model reverence and love for the Eucharist, and many took quiet cues from that example. As a result, the liturgy felt both simple and richly grace-filled at the same time.

After Mass, our students participated in an ECYD retreat. ECYD is the Regnum Christi charism lived by adolescents and is designed to help them grow as friends of Christ and as young apostles. In practice, this means prayer, formation, and concrete experiences of service, all lived in community.

These moments supported Royalmont’s commitment to integral formation in a very practical way. Students did not just hear ideas; instead, they practiced applying their faith to real life. Consequently, they left the retreat with concrete steps for prayer, friendship, and mission.
While students were on retreat, parents gathered for fellowship and formation of their own. Over coffee and conversation, several Royalmont families shared testimonies about how Regnum Christi has shaped their spiritual journey.
These testimonies reminded everyone that formation is not only for children. Parents also need support, encouragement, and a place to speak honestly about faith. Because of that, the gathering quickly became more than a scheduled meeting. It turned into an experience of shared faith in which families saw that they are not alone on the path to holiness.
At the close of the day, the community processed with the Blessed Sacrament around the campus. The sight of students, parents, consecrated women, and priests walking behind the Eucharist was deeply moving. Children sang and prayed in simple voices, while adults followed along. Altogether, the procession became a public act of love and faith.

As the procession moved, Christ passed playgrounds, classrooms, offices, and athletic fields. Every space we walked through became a reminder that He desires to reign in every part of our community. In that moment, our mission as a Regnum Christi school became very clear. We are called to bring Christ into the ordinary places of daily life so His Kingdom can take root there.
Christ the King Sunday comes once a year, yet its meaning shapes every school day at Royalmont. As a Regnum Christi school, we help students know Christ, love Him, and follow Him in concrete ways. We also walk with parents and families as they grow in faith, unity, and mission. Because of this, our celebration was more than a one-time event; it was an expression of who we are.
The Statutes describe the Regnum Christi member as someone who is encountered, loved, gathered, formed, sent, and accompanied by Christ (SRCF 8). That path is the one we want our students and families to experience. Christ meets us and reveals His Heart. He shapes our minds and wills. Then, after forming us, He sends us out to bring His love to the world.
Parents who are exploring Catholic education or who want to learn more about the Regnum Christi spiritual family are warmly invited to visit Royalmont Academy. A campus tour offers the chance to see classrooms, meet students, and experience the spirit of our community. In addition, it allows families to ask deeper questions about faith, academics, and school culture.
To explore the worldwide Regnum Christi family beyond Royalmont, you can visit the official RC website at regnumchristi.com. There you will find more about the charism, the spiritual family, and the mission lived in many countries. Overall, our Christ the King celebration showed one simple truth: when Christ truly reigns, joy follows. We are grateful for this grace-filled day and look forward with hope to all that God has in store for our community.
