Choosing a kindergarten is one of the most important decisions you make as a parent. You want a place where your child is not only safe, but known, loved, and guided toward the person God created them to be. At Royalmont Academy, our Catholic Kindergarten program provides the kind of faith-filled, academically rigorous, and joyfully nurturing environment every parent dreams of.
In a Catholic Kindergarten, faith is not just taught—it is lived. At Royalmont, students begin their school journey grounded in the love of Christ. Each day includes prayer, exposure to Scripture, and the practice of virtue. Our teachers model the values of our Catholic faith and integrate them into every subject area.
As a Regnum Christi school, we are rooted in the mission of forming Christian leaders through integral formation—that means intellectual, human, spiritual, and apostolic development. A hallmark of Regnum Christi education is intentional individual accompaniment, which ensures every child is personally known, deeply cared for, and supported along their unique journey.
We believe young learners thrive in small classrooms. That’s why our Kindergarten maintains a student-to-teacher ratio that allows for daily individualized support and attention. We are excited to announce that this year, Royalmont is expanding to two Kindergarten classes due to growth. Yet through a team-teaching model, both classrooms will share responsibilities so that each child benefits from the gifts of both teachers and continues to receive intentional formation.
One of the most important academic goals of Kindergarten is learning to read. At Royalmont, we use the Orton-Gillingham approach, a multisensory, structured, and phonics-based method that supports all types of learners—especially those who benefit from more explicit instruction.
This method teaches reading by engaging visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning pathways. It helps students master the relationship between letters and sounds while boosting confidence and fluency. It is a research-based approach that has proven especially powerful in preventing early reading struggles and giving students a strong foundation for lifelong success.
Formation of the whole child begins in Kindergarten. Our curriculum emphasizes kindness, empathy, responsibility, and independence in age-appropriate ways. Children learn to work in groups, speak with confidence, and resolve conflicts peacefully. Recess and unstructured play give them time to build friendships, while classroom routines foster emotional stability and self-control.
We know that parents are the primary educators of their children. At Royalmont, we believe in walking alongside you. Teachers communicate frequently with families and provide opportunities for parents to get involved, ask questions, and celebrate their child’s growth. When your child enters Royalmont’s Kindergarten, you become part of a community rooted in shared faith and mutual support.
Because of increased interest, we are now offering two Kindergarten classes beginning this fall. Thanks to our team-teaching approach, every student will benefit from the talents of both our current teacher and our newest addition,
There is still time to secure your child’s spot in our growing Catholic Kindergarten program, but seats are filling quickly. We invite you to experience the joy and depth of Royalmont Academy in person.
