High School Unlocks Their Future with the Catholic Entrepreneurship and Design Experience Course

How CEDE Develops Catholic Leadership Skills

The Catholic Entrepreneurship and Design Experience (CEDE) is more than just a course—it’s an invitation to discover your unique vocation and learn how to create true value in your life and the lives of others.

Whether you dream of becoming an entrepreneur, an artist, or a community leader, CEDE provides students with the tools and mindset to pursue their calling with confidence. This college-level program, offered by The Catholic University of America, is available to high school students at Royalmont Academy who are eager to make a difference in the world.

What is the CEDE Program?

The CEDE course is a dynamic, project-based learning experience that integrates Catholic values with entrepreneurial skills. Students engage in hands-on projects that challenge them to think creatively, solve real-world problems, and develop a moral compass to guide their future decisions.

Key Benefits of Enrolling in CEDE:

  1. Discover Your Vocation: CEDE helps students discern their personal calling, whether in business, the arts, or any other field.
  2. Develop Entrepreneurial Skills: Learn how to create value through innovation, resourcefulness, and ethical decision-making.
  3. Build a Moral Compass: Through reflective projects and discussions, students will develop a strong ethical foundation to navigate life’s challenges.

Why Choose CEDE? – It is about the true, good, and beautiful.

Entrepreneurship is not just about starting businesses; it’s about serving others by creating things that are true, good, and beautiful. This course will help students break free from the limitations of conventional education and inspire them to think differently about their future.

What Students Will Experience:

  • Personal Encounter: Learn through experiences and interactions that reveal deeper truths about yourself and the world.
  • Creativity and Innovation: Engage in projects that challenge you to think outside the box and express your unique ideas.
  • Truth-Seeking: Embrace communication that is direct, loving, and rooted in truth.
  • Wonder and Curiosity: Cultivate a sense of wonder as you explore new ideas and concepts.
  • Incarnation: Learn to turn ideas into reality, making a tangible impact on the world.

Course Structure and Projects

CEDE is structured around 12 foundational modules, each designed to help you build on the last. The course culminates in a final project called the “Odyssey Project,” where you’ll design a plan for the next two years of your life, based on your newfound knowledge and skills.

Sample Projects:

  • Moral Compass Paper: Develop a personal ethical guide that will inform your future decisions.
  • Odyssey Project: Design a life plan that aligns with your personal vocation and entrepreneurial goals.

How to Get Started

CEDE is now available to high school students at Royalmont Academy. If a student is interested in this course, they can enroll through October 1 by contacting Mrs. Gladden.

Final Thoughts: Transform Your High School Experience

CEDE is not just another high school course—it’s a life-changing experience. By the end of the program, students will have a clearer understanding of their purpose and the skills to make a real impact in the world. Whether a student aims to start their own business, pursue higher education, or simply live a more meaningful life, CEDE will equip each student with the tools they need to succeed.
