State of the School: A Year of Growth and Vision for the Future

At Royalmont Academy, our mission remains steadfast: to form strong Christian leaders who will transform society. As a Regnum Christi school, we are committed to integral formation, shaping students in four key dimensions—intellectual, human, spiritual, and apostolic. This approach ensures that students develop not only academically but also in faith, virtue, and service.

Our Mission & Identity

Royalmont is more than just a school; it is a community of faith and leadership. Every student is uniquely called to grow in wisdom and character. Because of this, we focus on personalized formation, ensuring that each child receives individual support. Moreover, our four-pillar model equips students with the skills to fearlessly proclaim the joy of the Gospel.

Integral Formation: Educating the Whole Person

At Royalmont, education extends beyond the classroom. Our four dimensions of integral formation ensure a well-rounded student experience:

  • Intellectual Formation: Small class sizes provide a highly personalized learning environment. With a high school block schedule, students can engage in deep, focused learning. Furthermore, our academic performance consistently surpasses state averages, demonstrating the strength of our curriculum.
  • Human Formation: Developing strong character is at the heart of our mission. Programs such as virtue campaigns, ECYD, Knights of the Altar, and Daughters of the King instill moral responsibility and leadership.
  • Spiritual Formation: Faith is integrated into every aspect of the school experience. Students participate in daily prayer, Mass, confession, and retreats, strengthening their relationship with Christ.
  • Apostolic Formation: Beyond academics, students actively serve the community. Through service projects, household communities, and the March for Life, they learn how to put their faith into action.

Enrollment & Growth

Momentum continues to build at Royalmont. Enrollment numbers are rising, and retention strategies are ensuring families feel supported and engaged. In addition, our goal over the next five years is to expand to 300 students, all while maintaining the close-knit, faith-filled culture that defines Royalmont.

Marketing & Development

In order to support this growth, we have significantly expanded our marketing efforts:

  • A revamped website enhances communication and outreach.
  • Weekly blog posts strengthen our digital presence and boost engagement.
  • Strategic partnerships with benefactors and community leaders continue to help fund key initiatives.

Financial Health

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, Royalmont remains financially strong.

  • The Fall Banquet exceeded its fundraising goal by 107%.
  • The Annual Fund is currently at 78% of its target and growing.
  • The Gala outperformed expectations, reaching 121% of its goal.
Although some expenses have increased due to rising utility costs, healthcare, and expanded student programs, the school remains on solid financial footing.

Facilities Enhancements

Creating a safe and modern learning environment remains a priority. This year, we have made several key upgrades:

  • A $100K security grant has funded new keycard access, additional security cameras, and an intruder alarm system.
  • New playground equipment provides students with a safe and enjoyable space for recreation.
  • Roof renovations (40% complete) and HVAC system upgrades ensure sustainability for years to come.
  • Fresh paint and updated flooring are revitalizing classrooms and common areas, enhancing the learning atmosphere.

Vision for the Future

Looking ahead, Royalmont’s vision includes:
A Feasibility Study to explore the development of a new gym and evangelization center, strengthening our role as a Regnum Christi hub in Southwest Ohio.
Strategic growth initiatives that will allow us to reach 300 students while preserving our personalized, faith-centered environment.
Expanded athletic programs, providing students with opportunities to develop perseverance, teamwork, and school spirit.
A renewed focus on leadership development, ensuring graduates are prepared to lead with faith and conviction.

The Future of High School: A Transformational Shift

One of the most exciting developments is the relaunch of our high school with an innovative leadership curriculum. Through the Catholic Entrepreneurship and Design Experience (CEDE) Program, students will gain real-world leadership, communication, and financial literacy skills, all deeply rooted in Catholic values.
Key components include:

  • Soft skills development through the Habitudes Program, helping students build essential leadership habits.
  • Project-based learning that focuses on real-world applications and collaboration.
  • Financial literacy and investment courses, equipping students with the knowledge to manage money responsibly.
  • Public speaking and rhetoric training, allowing students to develop confidence and articulate ideas effectively.
  • A senior capstone project, requiring students to launch a business or nonprofit, applying everything they have learned.
  • A work-study program, connecting students with mentors, career paths, and hands-on experiences.

These changes will position Royalmont Academy as a premier Catholic high school, ensuring that students are fully prepared for college and beyond.
